My Goals for HNGi8 as a UI/UX Designer
Hello There! I know you may be wondering what HNGi8 is, especially if you are not so conversant with the Tech Industry. HNG is an intermediate internship for people in tech. It is made up of various tracks lick front-end, back-end development, UI/UX Designing, e.t.c. This year, I was able to register for the program which was one of the major goals for me as I started off the year. I am glad to be a part of the internship right now as I know the experience is always intriguing. Having heard of the program and how life-changing it is, I have decided to go into the program with an open mind ready to learn, and on the UI/UX track.
The internship is set to hold for 8 weeks and there are certain goals I would love to achieve at the end of the 8-weeks internship. Here are some of them:
- I would love to become a better designer by understanding the rudiments of designing usable interfaces
- I would love to connect with other UI/UX designers like me and make as many friends as possible
- To be able to work effectively as a designer under pressure
- To build my portfolio and add great designs to it
- Finally, to be good enough to land jobs with international companies in need of my services

The tutorial is highly helpful for beginners and can definitely put them on the right track. So, I would highly recommend watching the video and digesting it well if you are a beginner.
